Ahh transit strike coming. Maybe. Dammit. I just checked on Mapquest, and the best I can reckon is that it's about six or seven miles to work from my house. Not as bad as I expected. Still, you know, it's December. I don't know. This could be an exercise boon, and it's not like anyone's gonna judge me for being gross at work after a jog. But still, running through NYC before having to go to work? Not fun.

But who knows. It might not happen. That would be good. As for who's right, I don't know. The state is in a budget crisis, the city's in a budget crisis, people are gonna get laid off left and right, and these dudes want a 6% raise (down from an 8% raise before)? I don't know about all that.

More subway news: Ran into Nami on the train yesterday morning. Haven't done that since we, uh, ran into the train the first time (i.e. met).

Just got the roster for the Detroit (and Chicago, and Littleton, Colo. also) crew coming up to NYC for the annual New Year's Eve festivities. It's pretty full and promises wild future recollections and story cycles. Also, man that Adaptation? Not so hot. Well, not so bad either. All in all, it gets a 6 out of 10.
