2002-10-25 - 3:49 p.m. Day. Ugh. Well, it started out OK. I had well over a dollar in change in my pocket and Sandinista! in my bag. While eating lunch, I tried to cut the songs in half, you know, so you could fit them on one CD-R. That's so difficult, and also pointless. My Wu-Tang Forever single-discer was much more wise. Last night was fun. Nami and my uncle and I saw this play. He's on the board of directors of the company that produced it, I'm pretty sure. Angel Street was the name. Somebody at U-M probably put it on while I was there. Quite likely. Acting was great, except the villain was so over-the-top that I figured that must be a red herring. The second act must contain a plot twist that would script-flip the good and the evil. But 'twas not the case. I was overthinking. Some lady in the audience went, "MM-HMMM!" when the villain was especially enraged at his wife. That was hilarious. It wasn't like an "Amen!" It was more like a, "See, what did I tell you during intermission? That boy's CRAZY." We're going up to the UES to see The Sopranos at his apartment on Sunday. I'm a season-four virgin. Good times ahead tonight, too: First of the Halloween parties, this time in Bed-Stuy. Where the neighborhood is the haunted house. previous next
