2002-05-30 - 10:30 a.m. This is how Salman Rushdie ended his op-ed column in today's Times: "In the immortal words of the Spice Girls, 'Will this déjà vu never end?'" This is actually a very uncharacteristic conclusion to a really scary column about Kashmir. I think the more I read, the more worried I get about the state of the world. I'm not sure if it's making me scarily jaded, fatalistic, or simply shoving me into a basement rec-room of denial. Or could it even be plain old acceptance? Oh well. I finally got around to doing my one-disc edit of Wu-Tang Forever. It's 17 songs, 70 minutes. I realize now that I still need to cut out two or three more songs. If anyone wants a copy of the trvr3000 edit of this highly underrated (yet normally bloated) album from one of the great acts in the showbiz, please let me know. I'll trade it for a mix of either Biggie Smalls' or Jay-Z's best. I'm talkin' both the hidden gems and the jams. I need the jams. Or actually, send me any mix. I can also trade my Wu-Tang Megamix from a few months ago (it's a tape) once Kevin mails it to me. (I left it at his house in Ann Arbor last time I was there.) Sweet. previous next
