Happy Valentine's Day everyone. Hope it's good. I'm not one of those people who go on anti-Valentine crusades when they're single on the 2/14, but I guess I understand people who do. That said, I wish I had an excuse to do something really nice for (an uncertain) somebody -- and while we're making wishes, how about an excuse to give someone a big hug?

I know I've been living inside my head way too much lately. My new Monday night math tutoring will definitely help that.

Since the holiday causes a lot of stress and tends to magnify any gesture made on or around the day -- especially toward people you think have nice eyes and cute voices -- I think I'll set aside other days to do random nice things.

My only question: How come no one ever says "St. Valentine is the reason for the season" during the first part of February? You'd think that would give hardline Christians a certain platform from which to preach. Go to church today, damnit! It's a saint's feast!
